Hundreds of San Francisco high school students left morning classes to join a rally outside City Hall to demand more gun control laws and an end to school shootings.
People in passing buses applauded the students as they marched from City Hall through downtown streets. Many students raised fists to the air and stood in silence while the names of Parkland victims were read through a megaphone.
We train inmates at San Quentin to report stories from inside the prison. Our conversations often turn to current events, and a few weeks this included the recent Parkland school shooting and the ongoing debate around gun control.
