This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks with actress and singer Laura Michelle Kelly who plays the role of Anna Leonowens in the SHN production of ‘The King and I’, currently at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco. 

Director John Fisher stops by, together with actor Morgan Lange, to discuss their respective roles in Peter Shaffer’s Tony Award-winning play ‘Equus’, which plays at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco through December 10.

Also, a conversation with Artistic Director and co-founder Joyce Keil of Ragazzi Boys Chorus, about upcoming performances in Palo Alto, Burlingame and San Francisco of  ‘In the Company of Angels’, which explores the eternal search for spiritual wisdom and celebrates the various appearances of angels in the Christmas story.

From Women’s Vocal Ensemble Kitka, Executive Artistic Director Shira Cion shares details about ‘Wintersongs2016’, with concerts in San Rafael, Menlo Park, Santa Cruz, Oakland, San Francisco, and Gualala, between December 10 and January 14.

Plus, regular contributor and critic at large Peter Robinson reviews the movie ‘Allied’;  gives an overview of seasonal music around the Bay Area; and ruminates on ‘Auld Lang Syne’.
