Warriors tie Bulls' mark with 72nd Win // East Bay Times

The Warriors joined the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls as NBA teams with the most wins in a single season after defeating the San Antonio Spurs 92-86 on Sunday to improve their record to 72-9. On Wednesday, the Warriors will have one shot left during regular season to break the NBA record.

SF police shooting unfolded in 30 seconds, video shows // SFGATE

"Two San Francisco police officers who killed a homeless man they say charged at them with a knife in the Mission District advanced on the man quickly, firing four beanbags and then seven bullets at him within 30 seconds of stepping out of their patrol vehicles, video footage of the incident shows."

Thursday’s shooting was disappointing to many "who had been following the Police Commission’s proposed revisions to the department’s use-of-force policy after the fatal shooting of Mario Woods in December."

Ohlone Human remains found in trench in West Berkeley // Berkeleyside

"Construction workers on March 29 uncovered what appear to be “pre-contact” Indian remains while digging a trench on Fourth Street near Hearst Avenue as part of the redevelopment of Spenger’s Fish Grotto and adjoining parcels."

In response to an April 8th story in Berkeleyside, "Jamestown the developer, issued a statement saying the company is “complying with local stakeholders, including the recommendations of the appointed Most Likely Descendent, in order to ensure the respectful and dignified treatment of the remains.”
