City Visions: Course Correcting Climate Change, Part 1

Global Climate Action Summit

What will it take to course correct climate change? Nothing short of a worldwide commitment, which is why California Governor Jerry Brown co-chaired the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco.

The Summit highlighted achievements from around the world as policymakers, businesses leaders and grassroots organizations shared the ways they’re working together to achieve the goals of the 2015 Paris climate agreement.

Host Ethan Elkind, is joined by California State Senator Kevin de León, whose milestone bill requiring the state run on 100% clean electricity by 2045 was signed today by Governor Brown. Learn about the Summit and California’s groundbreaking clean energy policies in Part 1 of our three-part series on climate change.

Guests:

Kevin de León - California State Senator representing District 24 in Los Angeles

Matthew Rodriquez - California Secretary for Environmental Protection

Louise Bedsworth - Executive Director for the California Strategic Growth Council
