We are proud to say that over 70% of our annual funding comes from individual listeners. Every one is important. KALW does not receive any funding from the state, the city, or the San Francisco Unified School District. KALW is not beholden to any corporate interests. We are beholden to our listeners. And have been for 65 years.
We stay on the air and bring you local, national and international news, because of you, our listener.
We couldn't do it without your support.
There are many ways you can support KALW.

Gift Planning
There are a variety of ways to make important contributions that meet your financial goals and help guarantee the future of 91.7 KALW. Consult with your financial advisor.
Producer's Circle
The Producer's Cirlce is a group of KALW listeners who, before the drive starts, send in an additional gift to KALW to be used as matching dollars. During the drive the following may be said; 'For the next 30 minutes your dollars will be doubled. John and Jane Doe, members of the Producer's Circle have put up $500 and are asking you to match that amount. All pledges up to $500 will be doubled. Your $50 becomes $100, your $100 becomes $200. If we do not match that amount in the next 30 mintues, we will have to return the $500 to the Does. So far, we have never had to return a Producer's Circle donation.'
If at all possible, we try to put the match on the program you prefer.
Employers matching gifts
Many companies will match their employees gifts, some of them times two or three times the amount you donate. Contact your HR Department to start the ball rolling.
Use GoodSearch just as you would use Google or Yahoo to look something up.
KALW gets a token payment every time it is used.
Do some Underwriting.
Do you have a business that would like to reach the KALW audience? We can talk to you about underwriting on KALW. Just call 415-841-4121 x3017 and ask for Dianne.
KALW needs support from individuals in order to continue to thrive. KALW must pay for the programming we receive from NPR, PBS and independent producers. Additionally, KALW produces programming for local and national audiences. All of this requires financial support. KALW simply would not exist without member support.
