LIVE FROM NEW ORLEANS...IT'S ROSE AGUILAR!  On Monday and Tuesday, Rose Aguilar hosts Your Call live from New Orleans to explore the current economy there and what's being done for those still affected by Hurricane Katrina and the gulf oil spill.  Monday & Tuesday at 11am & 8pm.

THE PLAY'S THE THING: 
LA Theatreworks presents “Atomic Bombers” by Russell Vandenbroucke.  Fifty years after Hiroshima, “Atomic Bombers” takes us into those secretive canyons to meet the cadre of brilliant scientists who worked there.  The broadcast includes an interview with Dr. Robert F. Christy, a theoretical physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project.  Tuesday 9-11pm.
 
SNAP JUDGMENT PROFILE:
Glynn Washington, host of Snap Judgment, was profiled in Monday's Oakland Tribune.  Check it out here!   Tune in to "storytelling with a beat".  Tuesdays at 11pm, Wednesdays at 1pm.

MY FAVORITE THINGS:  Host Alan Farley offers a full month of interesting guests that share their favorite recordings in September. In the weeks ahead, Douglas Rioth, Principal Harp with the San Francisco Symphony (9/6); Matias Tarnopolsky, the Director of Cal Performances (9/13); Joana Carneiro, Music Director of the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra (9/20); and Chronicle columnist Jon Carroll (9/27).  Mondays at 9pm.

LMP random highlight of the week: 
On last week's Open Air, host Alan Farley shared a panel discussion from the recent Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz.  The discussion was led by Marin Alsop , the Music Director and Conductor of the Festival and included composers Sean Hickey, Anne Clyne, Mark-Anthony Turnage, Jennifer Higdon, Michael Hersch and Nathaniel Stookey.  Available for listening through 9/2 at 12:59pm.
