KALW continues its exclusive partnership with the Berkeley Symphony for a broadcast that was recorded in Zellerbach Hall in December, dedicated to longtime KALW host, Alan Farley. Music Director Joana Carneiro leads the symphony in Robert Schumann's "Symphony No.2," Gyorgi Ligeti's "Piano Concerto," with Shai Wosner as soloist, and the World Premiere of Berkeley native Dylan Mattingly's "Invisible Skyline." David Latulippe hosts the broadcast. Sunday at 4pm; Monday at 9pm.

Broadcast of the opening concert of the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra from October of this year. Music director Joana Carneiro led the ensemble in Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, Charles Ives’ “The Unanswered Question”, and the World Premiere of Paul Dresher’s “Concerto for Quadrachord”, played by the composer (pictured) on an instrument he invented. David Latulippe hosts the broadcast, with special interview features. Sunday 12/2 at 4pm; Monday 12/3 at 9pm.

"A Hungarian Excursion"- Guest Conductor Edwin Outwater, with soprano soloist Jessica Rivera and the San Francisco Girls Chorus present the World Premiere of Gabriela Lena Frank's "Holy Sisters." Also on the program: Kodály's "Dances of Galánta" and Bartók's "Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta." David Latulippe is guest host. Sunday from 4-6pm.
